Depression is a common mental disorder, described as sadness with a loss of interest in many activities that you may have enjoyed previously, Often accompanied by the inability to carry out daily tasks, for at least two weeks.
Additionally, people who have depression often have several of the following symptoms: loss of energy; changes in their reduced concentration; indecisiveness; appetite; sleeping more or less; anxiety; restlessness; guilt, or hopelessness; feelings of worthlessness, and or thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
Depression is a treatable disease, with talking therapies or antidepressant medication or a combination of these.
